Mugabe – deluded as ever – simple gangster always.

September 14, 2009 Leave a comment

The world’s media was treated to a bizarre spectacle last week in the wake of an EU delegation visit to Harare. There before our eyes blabbering anti-European and racist sentiments was the world’s number one cretin Robert Mugabe; self appointed president of a country he has led into total ruin. He lies about the personal sanctions that have been imposed upon him and his fellow zanu pf gangsters. He claims all Zimbabwe’s problems are due to plots outside the country. He ignores the tremendous amount of food aid, educational aid and health aid that has been given by the governments he blames for the economic and social crisis facing Zimbabwe.

There is one man to blame for economic failure in Zimbabwe and that is Robert Mugabe we must also include the gangsters in charge of zanu pf.

Personal targeted sanctions must remain, there has not been sufficient change, Zimbabwe is still an authoritarian state.

Zimbabwe still deep in crisis.

Whilst the IMF rushes to assist Mugabe with millions of dollars worth of loans; it is very clear that in reality Mugabe and his thugs still continue as if no settlement (the GNU)  had been agreed.  It seems that once again Mugabe’s charm offensive still fools heads of government and overeas agencies.

SOKWANELE: “Zimbabwe Inclusive Government Watch (ZIG Watch) is tracking articles and reports which provide examples of violations of the agreement between Zanu PF and the two Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Formations signed in Harare on 15 September 2008.

August saw the continuation of the chaos in Zimbabwe, with ever more breaches of the GPA being recorded, the majority of which fell into the following categories:

  • wanton politically motivated violence, or violence driven by politicians or petty officials,
  • harassment, and deprivation of freedom, of individuals through contrived arrests on spurious charges,
  • widespread corruption involving senior public and uniformed figures,
  • the deprivation of the right to Freedom of Expression, and the abu se thereof,
  • violent, unconstitutional, invasions and seizures of property and farms, and
  • deliberate attempts to derail the Constitution-making process.

The month of August has seen a notable increase in breaches in these two areas:

  • open subversion of legal or administrative processes for political benefit, and
  • deliberate non-cooperation with the other parties to the GPA agreement, or the deliberate undermining – or abuse of – other persons or parties for political ends.

Cumulative share of breaches - Issue 8Zanu PF’s favourite political tool – violence – stills plagues Zimbabwe’s populace to the extent that it is almost accepted as a norm by the majority. Our first listed breach in Issue 8 reveals that the government has! turned deaf ears to the warnings by the Kimberly Process that the sales of Zimbabwean diamonds may be suspended internationally after the international body directed that Zimbabwe’s diamond fields should be demilitiarised. The troops are still there, and rights abuses and smuggling continue unabated.

On a more local level, a young man was murdered by seven Zanu PF thugs in Macheke after going to the home of a local Zanu PF chairman to ask for his outstanding wages. He was subjected to a brutal beating and torture before he died, and his body dumped on a road to make it look like an accident. One wonders how an ‘accident’ explains wounds made by redhot iron rods through the stomach. It is alleged that Minister Didymus Mutasa aided the release of the perpetrators, who only received a fine as their punishment…”

The Prime Minister has presented a speeech at the Institute for Strategic Studies in London.  It is a clarification of the government’s position.

BBC NEWS: “Gordon Brown is giving a speech defending Britain’s mission in Afghanistan, a day after a ministerial aide quit over government strategy.

Labour MP Eric Joyce, a parliamentary aide to the defence secretary, resigned saying a time limit should be set on troop deployment.

The prime minister said he would not walk away, adding: “A safer Afghanistan means a safer Britain.”

He also said British military spending in Afghanistan was increasing.

Downing Street has been keen to stress that the speech was not a response to Eric Joyce’s resignation and had been planned for some time..”

Feeding the oxygen of publicity to a moron.

Now that the BNP scumbag Nick Griffin has become an MEP why is it that our media particularly BBC TV News find it necessary to respond to speech farts made by Nick Griffin. Griffin made a preposterous outburst yesterday suggesting that the EU should bomb boats carrying immigrants – what appears to be mass murder on African immigrants attempting to cross the mediterranean in flimsy boats.

BBC NEWS: Griffin: ” Frankly, they need to sink several of those boats.
“Anyone coming up with measures like that we’ll support but anything which is there as a ‘oh, we need to do something about it’ but in the end doing something about it means bringing them into Europe’ we will oppose.”

The interviewer, BBC Correspondent Shirin Wheeler, said: “I don’t think the EU is in the business of murdering people at sea.”

Mr Griffin replied: “I didn’t say anyone should be murdered at sea – I say boats should be sunk, they can throw them a life raft and they can go back to Libya…”

This has to be a really racist, callous, sickening comment by Griffin: a complete moron. It would be far better if our media just totally ignore the miserable fascist wretch.

EU tells Iran not to put British embassy employees on trial over post-election protests | World news | guardian.co.uk

The news from the insane regime that rules Iran doesn’t get any better; its leaders live in a state of denial; they fail to realize and accept that the massive  revolt following the farcical general election is home grown. Many millions of Iranians have enough of rule by clerics.  So in a state of paranoia the leaders of Iran look for non existent foreign causes and so it is that a handful of british embassy employees have been tortured and forced to confess stories suitable for the Theocracy.  The European Union if it means anything at all should now act in solidarity and withdraw their diplomats from Tehran immediately:

Mark Tran in THE GUARDIAN: “The EU decided today to summon all Iranian ambassadors in capitals across Europe in a co-ordinated protest action after one of the country’s most senior clerics said some of the local British embassy workers accused of inciting protests following last month’s disputed presidential election would be put on trial.

The head of Iran’s guardian council, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, said the detained staff members had “made confessions” in connection with the unrest.

The surprise move by the council, Iran’s top legislative body, will cause relations between London and Tehran to deteriorate further after tit-for-tat diplomatic expulsions last week…”more

Building Britain’s Future?

Labour logo
Image via Wikipedia

Many Labour party supporters want to vote Labour in the next general election and we don’t want to see a Tory government taking office as we know only too well what that will mean. The Tories will impose savage cuts in public spending and tax cuts for the wealthy.

The problem is now that Labour party manifestos tend to be worthless collections of paper as Labour politicians find reasons to back pedal on commitments; the European referendum being one case of betrayal. The general public are not fools. There is another problem because how these manifesto commitments are made they appear to emerge top down perhaps with some original input from focus groups. There is no role for ordinary members to determine policy, the annual Labour party conference being a mere major press conference. So Building Britain’s Future may contain promises but no doubt many of them will be dumped. That is what we have come to expect from Labour politicians.

BNP faces legal threat over membership policies: guardian.co.uk

June 23, 2009 Leave a comment

At long last the penny has dropped, why on earth is the BNP‘s existence tolerated when it practices discriminating policies let alone exist in violation of laws relating to race relations.  all European Union funding should be halted and the party’s two MEPs should be stripped of their membership of the European Parliament.

THE GUARDIAN: “The BNP is facing the threat of an injunction on the grounds of acting unlawfully over its membership policies, the Guardian can reveal.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission, the independent watchdog on discrimination, has written to the far-right political party stating that it believes the BNP is in breach of the Race Relations Act on three counts.

The letter, which gives the BNP until 20 July to respond to the allegations, reserves the right to take further legal action, including an injunction against the party…”more
