Now we may have heard recently how Gordon Brown wants the issue of reform to move ahead,  he claims he always wanted electoral reform but it seems this current MPs’ expenses crisis has brought it forwrd in his mind.  Talk of a Royal Commission will delay, we had Roy Jenkin’s report of some years ago which could easily be revived and form a basis for meaningful change.  We don’t need to wait a year, these reforms could be in place by August.  Alan Johnson was right and a Labour government should just get on with it.
