David Cameron to crack down on public sector pay – Telegraph

Gradually, we are getting a more informed vision of the nightmare ahead if David Cameron becomes the Tory prime minister.  He appears to think that workers in the public sector are over paid and live on fat pensions. No mention of course of his own benefits and pension as an MP.

Let this be a warning to public sector workers; that Cameron in his blinkered view of the world wants nurses, teachers, police and everyone else in the public sector to expect what will be in effect pay cuts and job insecurity.

This is also implicit in his “more for less” plan; ministers will be expected in effect to cut budgets; so health and education like other ministries will be expected to reduce public expenditure so in reality it’s back to the 1980s! The same old Tory solutions, which will mean for example; in the health service longer queues for treatment, higher prescription charges etc, etc.
