Labour members reject Royal Mail selloff plans.

Royal Mail

Royal Mail

Results of an opinion poll organized by Compass, show the owerwhelming majority of Labour party members oppose the government scheme to “part-privatize” the Royal Mail. Lord Mandelson has no mandate to sell off the Post Office  it should remain in public hands.

The government should provide investment finance or assistance for the Post Office to develop a modern service including financial services.  Labour party members find it very difficult to understand why the government bends over backwards for the spivs who run the banks and yet will not assist the Post Office.

The Post Office should remain in public hands not sold off to spivs.

The political landscape has changed dramatically over the past year. Not too long ago, we’d be behind the government when they claimed they couldn’t afford an extra £1bn or so NHS injection.
Then all of a sudden, they have £30bn for banks.
Labour are digging their grave deeper, every day.
