Labour Conference 2008.

Yet another year, yet another Labour conference designed of course these days as one long press conference; we remember when the Labour conference was really interesting with real people talking about real issues. Nowadays, it’s merely a matter of rubber stamping government policy. Whilst we hope that Gordon Brown will overcome the noise from a tiny minority of MPs who are keen to see him replaced we only wish that Mr. Brown will remain as prime minister and change course as far as economic policy is concerned but we suspect that it’s more likely he will remain on his present course. Only low interest rates will help to stimulate the economy not the current foolish policy.
