So now we learn more about the sneaky Tory policy of brutal public service cuts.  Phillip Hammond is even now boasting about his proposed actions. This country cannot afford such an extremist Tory government;

Anticipating an era of deep short-term cuts in public spending, Hammond urges voters to give the Conservatives a big majority so a new government can act boldly to cut the public debt, warning that the public finances are in such a state “the worst outcome for Britain would be an unclear political result at the election”…”

The Press Association: Brown under fire over poll disaster

The tragedy is that the current leadesship of the Labour Pary is totally hopeless, nothing is going to change, we are headed for disaster at the next election.  There is no one capable of takinf up the challenge to contest the leadership.  The tragedy is the Labour Party has no vision nothing to inspire people. Even parliamentary reform has been quietly set aside.

THE PRESS ASSOCIATION: “Gordon Brown has come under fire from former Cabinet minister Charles Clarke for his “incompetent and unjust” handling of the expenses scandal.

In the aftermath of Labour’s humiliating defeat in the Norwich North by-election, Mr Clarke blamed the dramatic swing away from the party on the Prime Minister’s response to the crisis.
