Violence and human rights abuses in rural Zimbabwe.

April 30, 2008

There is a reign of terror spreading through rural areas in Zimbabwe. Mugabe’s fascist youth militia, the green bombers, are active with the army in terrorizing ordinary rural peasants and anyone they believe supported the opposition MDC in the recent elections. People are being dragged off to all night meetings to sing and dance to zanu pf war songs, witness beatings and killings of MDC activists. This is a sickening development and meanwhile countries such as South Africa, China, Russia, Libya and Vietnam are trying to derail UN Security Council action.

Many schools have not reopened after the half term break some are being used as terror centres, local human rights agencies believe 20 MDC activist have been killed in a month, in the last two days 5 MDC activist have been dragged before these bizarre meetings of death and beaten and killed. People are being instructed to vote for Mugabe in the run off election!

Zimbabweans are weary of Muagbe’s friends such as Mbeki and Kaunda supporting the Zimbabwean fascist dictator. Zimbabweans need assistance to defend themselves from this wave of zanu pf terror. There are reports of villagers in Manicaland resisting zanu pf youth militia and the army; the country is on the verge of civil war.

The Ship of Shame

April 24, 2008

We thank members of the Durban South African International Transport Federation who refused to unload the Chinese ship, the An Yue Jiang, carrying weapons to Mugabe’s fascist dictatorship. The courage and determination of South African dock workers have proved to be an example to Africa and to the world.

We hope that the UK government proposal for international arms sanctions on Zimbabwe will be supported by all democratic states.

Zimbabwe & the Mugabe terror regime.

April 11, 2008

We had hoped that our first post on returning from the USA would be concerned with our impressions of the presidential candidates but due to recent events in Zimbabwe we feel we need to comment on the dreadful situation now facing democrats in Zimbabwe.

Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime clearly faced defeat in the presidential vote hence the reluctance of the regime to publish the voting figures. We believe that the regime has to be removed by force. We believe that constant expectation that some fairy (the southern African leaders) with a magic wand will descend and put things right is a forlorn hope: a complete waste of time. What is needed is a third chimurenga a war to liberate the country from Zanu PF fascist rule. Elections in Zimbabwe are a complete farce, the regime uses terror and repression against any opposition;  the judiciary is likewise an arm of the state; the police by and large are Zanu PF thugs; Mugabe’s secret police the CIO constantly harass the opposition; the sate media is a tool of Zanu PF. Zimbabweans instead of seeking escape to safer waters need to rise up and end this regime no one else will do this.
