Royal Mail dispute.

October 13, 2007

We hope that an end to this unnecessary dispute will be soon. We hope that the proposed deal will lead to normal working in the Royal Mail. These trade union disputes are often the focus of attention from the extreme left and their aims are generally to mobilise activities against government. Mindless union militants engaged in disputes during the eighties and they caused damage to the Labour Party at the time. We also believe that poor executive management such as that at the Royal Mail needs to be purged. The Royal Mail needs a dedicated full time executive that will be more concerned with maintaining and developing the business rather than one that reduces public services.
